Charles and Diana, Charles and Camilla: I blame British tradition for this mess
Having said that, I hope these two get it right, this time.
A tallit-and-tefillin-wearing woman in a traditional Conservative synagogue?! An unorthodox—and non-orthodox—perspective on Jews and Judaism from a perpetual misfit. This blog, welcoming the entire Jewish community, is dedicated to those who take Judaism seriously, but not necessarily literally.

Once upon a time, I belonged to a left-wing egalitarian Conservative synagogue, where I was one of a number of women who wore a tallit—and one of the few members who used an Orthodox prayer book (adding the Mothers, of course). Having moved since then, I now belong to a right-wing traditional Conservative synagogue, where I’m almost always the only woman wearing a tallit—and one of the few members who adds the Mothers. I seem destined to be forever . . . on the fringe.

Oh, I agree! Tho I find it hard to get past the fact that they indulged in adultery- kind of a sordid past (tho who am I to judge).
I see their public act of confession as close as they might get to teshuva.
Indeed, I hope that they finally will find happiness and peace.
I understand that Charles' father bullied him into the match. Feh! But I can't see the Duke doing teshuvah anytime soon.
In a way, I think Charles and Camilla are brave (I've always considered him a weakling). It takes guts to go against the massive wave of hostility that has dogged them for so long.
As for the royal family- I hope they grow up as well. This is what an overweening sense of duty wrought. It's the 21st century and they need to get a clue. Kinda like some utra-o's need to regarding shidduchim.
BTW, I love weddings! Loved watching it. I thought she looked wonderful!
But there would be no King Harry!
I thought William was the older son.
